My musical obsession started exactly where all great art does: locked in my childhood bathroom with a trusty tape recorder. I spent hours listening to Prince and Debbie Gibson, culminating in my first masterpiece at age nine—a gripping, deeply serious song called Friends 😀. By the time high school rolled around, I traded the bathroom acoustics for a guitar and channelled my teenage feelings into a massive catalogue of delightfully angsty songs.

Everything shifted when I moved to Edmonton. I fell head over heels for the smooth, rhythmic worlds of vocal jazz, R&B, and neo-soul, which completely transformed my sound. That era sparked my debut album, The First Time. I was grateful to work with the fabulous drummer/producer Thom Bennett and the late Barry Allen. Thanks to a grant from Rawlco Radio, my songs made it onto the airwaves. After that whirlwind, I decided to take a pause to focus on my education.  

A few years ago, I started to work with the incredible Edmonton composer and keyboardist Andrew Glover, who helped me record and co-produce my newest material. These days, I’m slowly learning the recording platform Albeton Live, and am looking forward to some co-writing opportunities in my future.
